Arrival in Muscat

Welcome to Muscat! We are so excited you are here!


Our guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

Boat Day to Dimaniyat Islands

Morning after breakfast tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Dimaniyat Islands .. Oman’s Maldives! Let's embark on a magnificent boat trip and the opportunity for snorkeling & swimming. And with any lucky, we might spot some dolphins. 

 

The Dimaniyat Islands are a protected Marine Reserve with the most stunning turquoise water. We will sail around the islands, stopping for photos and snorkeling opportunities. 


In the evening, we will stroll through Muttrah Souq. Spend the evening bargaining for handicrafts and silver items, like jewelry and hand-knit pashminas.

Nizwa Fort

After breakfast we head out on a full-day visit of the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital.


Visit Jabrin Castle built in the 17th century, known for its magnificent plasterwork, ornately carved doors, and painted wooden beams of the ceilings make this castle renowned.


Photo Stop at Bahla Fort, one of the oldest small towns in Oman. In the 12th century, Bahla served as the capital for the local tribes in the region. As the monumental fort is currently undergoing renovation, a photo stop is planned. Bahla is also well-known for its pottery.

Explore Oman's oldest villages

Visit the powerful Nizwa Fort with its massive circular cannon tower, offering a glimpse into Oman's history and architecture. One of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq.


Explore Oman Oldest villages in Al Dhakhlia region, Al Hamra and Misfah. The traditional mud houses, dating back 400 years, are still occupied. The falaj system used in this village is one of the oldest of this kind (UNESCO site).


Explore the Wadi Nakhar remote villages and the Wadi Gul Camp, both situated at the dramatic edge of the great canyon. 


Then proceed to Jabel Shams, one of the highest peaks of Jabel Akdhar mountain range. It's popularly known as the Grand Canyon of Oman.

Stay in a Desert Camp

Morning drive to Wahiba Sands, with a stop for photos at Birkat A Mauz. A traditional village located on the way to Jebel Akhdar, you can find the ruins of the Tribes that lived in those mountains surrounded by plantations. The village features a traditional falaj irrigation system, which was the lifeline of the local people, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Visit IBRA, one of the oldest cities in Oman which was once a centre of trade, religion, education, and art.


Arrive Wahiba sands around 3:30 PM. Wahiba Sands is a breathtaking desert of rolling red and white dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see. The constantly shifting sand patterns make it a dream for photographers, and if you're up for adventure, dune bashing across these waves of sand is guaranteed to get your heart racing!

Dive into the best Wadis in Oman

Start your day with breakfast at camp before heading out to Wadi Bani Khalid. Famous for its crystal-clear, deep blue pools, Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the most stunning wadis in Oman. Take a refreshing dip, soak in the serene atmosphere, and explore the natural beauty of this desert oasis.


From there, we’ll drive about 2 hours to the coastal town of Sur, the easternmost point of the Arabian Peninsula. Once a key hub for building traditional Omani dhows, Sur is steeped in maritime history. You'll visit the dhow yards and see how these iconic wooden boats—used by Omanis to sail as far as India—are still crafted today.


After an early dinner, we’ll make our way to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Sanctuary, where you'll witness one of nature’s most magical events: green turtles coming ashore under the stars to lay their eggs—a journey thousands of kilometers in the making.


We’ll then return to 1000 nights camp at night.

Day 7

Scenic Drive back to Muscat includes these stops...

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Muscat.


Along the way, we’ll make a photo stop at Qalhat, home to the historic ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb, a once-thriving port town with deep roots in Omani history.


Next, we’ll visit the stunning Bimah Sinkhole—a natural limestone crater filled with vibrant blue-green water, perfect for photos and a quick dip if time allows. Keep an eye out during the coastal drive—you might spot sharks in the deep waters or even gazelles sprinting across the desert landscape.


We’ll arrive in Muscat for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 8

Grand Mosque

This morning, we’ll visit the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque—one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the Middle East, known for its stunning architecture and peaceful ambiance. 


Next, we'll explore the Bait Al Zubair Museum, where you’ll dive into Oman’s rich history and culture through beautifully curated collections of traditional artifacts and personal treasures from the Zubair family.


We'll also make photo stops at the iconic Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, framed by the historic 16th-century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali—a striking contrast of old and new.
